Why was my card rejected? What is a Processing Failure?
Why was my card rejected? What is a Processing Failure?

The designation of Processing Failure in a TAG Grading order means the card could not be graded and encapsulated by TAG. A card may be a processing failure for one of many reasons including

  1. Ineligible language - TAG currently only accepts English-language trading cards and a limited number of Japanese language releases, such as modern BBM Baseball, Pokemon TCG, One Piece TCG, Union Arena TCG, and "poker" sized Dragon Ball releases. No other languages besides English and Japanese are accepted for grading at this time.

  2. Ineligible sizing - TAG cannot accept oversized or miniature cards, die-cut cards, nor "bridge"-sized TCG such as Yu-Gi-Oh! and Bandai Carddass releases.

  3. Ineligible materials - TAG does not accept acetate cards/cards with see-through elements and does not accept metal material cards such as metal Pokemon Celebrations releases.

  4. Other reasons cards may be rejected may be evidence of Alteration, Questionable Authenticity, Card Thickness (larger than 50pt cardstock), Size Restriction (cards cut slightly too large by the manufacturer), Minimum Size (cards cut slightly too small), Miscuts (cards cut improperly by the manufacturer) and Non-Licensed (Custom trading cards or other cards made without authorization).
