If you've checked your order in the TAG Portal and the status hasn't changed in a while, this is usually because your order is waiting in queue for the next stage of our grading process.
A few important things to know:
Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees. The turnaround time listed for your service level reflects our target timeframe, but actual processing can take longer depending on a number of factors including current submission volume, research nuances on the specific cards you submitted, or if the order was submitted following submission instructions.
We're currently experiencing a significant backlog. Demand for TAG grading has grown substantially, and our team is working through orders as quickly as possible while maintaining the quality standards our service is known for. This means many orders are currently taking longer than the posted turnaround estimates.
Status updates happen at stage transitions, not continuously. Your order's status will update when it moves from one stage of the process to the next (e.g., from "Received" to "In Grading"). Between transitions, the status will appear unchanged even though your order is in queue and progressing toward the next step. No update doesn't mean no progress.
Your order has not been forgotten. Every order is tracked in our system and will move forward in the order it was received within its service tier. Orders are not skipped, lost, or deprioritized while waiting.
When to contact Customer Service: Some orders are currently running well past their original turnaround estimates. If you'd like an update on yours, you're welcome to contact Customer Service with your order number. Please note our team typically does not have information beyond what's shown in the portal.
